Snowshoeing Route & Mountain Refuge
Do you enjoy hiking in summer? Do you dare to try it in the winter? Snow, stars, forests and a lonely refuge await us in a real two-day winter adventure on snowshoes.
The adventure begins in a lonely corner of the High Pyrenees, in a magical environment where we will start our route. We will learn to interpret the traces of the typical Pyrenean fauna, while crossing large forests, white plains, until we reach the lonely refuge where we will spend the night. We will enjoy a good dinner, gathering afterwards by the heat of the fire to remember the anecdotes of the journey. At night, we will go on an expedition to contemplate the night sky, stars and constellations. The next day we will climb a small peak where we will enjoy incredible views of the snowy landscapes of the valley and the nearby peaks, until we return to the refuge where a revitalizing lunch will await us before taking the way back and ending the adventure.
We offer the route in Alt Pirineu Natural Park including accommodation in Refuge Gall Fer located in Virós Forest; as well as the periphery of Aigüestortes National Park including accommodation in Refuge Pla de la Font departing from Planes de Son. Location to determine depending on the availability and snow quality.
